Space Sub-Taskforce

Time Commitment: 3 months | 5-10 hours/Month
Identify 3-4 potential neighborhoods for the café in West Oakland.
Conduct market research and landscape analysis on potential neighborhoods, including research on demographics, accessibility, visibility, competition, and traffic.
Community Engagement Sub-Taskforce
Time Commitment: 3 months | 5-10 hours/Month
Develop and implement a community engagement plan focused on building relationships, gathering community feedback, growing social media following, and building out an email list. Potential activities in the community engagement plan could include:
Tabling at community events
Design a survey and collect data from West Oakland residents that gathers input on type of food, cost, etc. for the café.
Design a mobile, interactive arts installation that gathers ideas from community members
Social Media
Curate content for social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram)
Identify creative ways to engage both new and existing followers
Fundraising Sub-Taskforce
Time Commitment: 3 months | 5-10 hours/Month
Develop and implement a fundraising plan. Could include:
Developing a Kickstarter or other crowdfunding campaign
Grant research and writing
Coordinating fundraising events
Ideas to generate revenue prior to launching brick and mortar
